dissecting the 2008 presidential logos

brand autopsy has a good post on the dissection of the candidate's logos in this year's presidential election. the new york times did a great job in 2004 comparing the bush/cheney and the kerry/edwards campaign logos and they've done it again for 2008. check it out. it's a bit on the satirical side but hey...it IS the nyt opinion section! it's still fun.

the iowa: primary voting begins today.

the iowa caucuses begin tonight. in honor of that, our first round of voting on campaign logos will begin today.

this whole idea for a blog just planted itself in my head literally 2 hours ago, so i'm still trying to figure out how to set this up.

i think i will set it up to follow actual primary and general election voting. just to keep it current, ya dig?

this first round will be a primary. all democrat logos will be pitted against each other. the same for the republicans.

please review the ground rules before you do anything. thanks!

ground rules

so, i think some ground rules need to be laid here.

1. this is supposed to be fun.
this is not supposed to be serious. it's just a different and fun spin on an event that will dominate the airwaves for the next 8 months. if it educates people along the way about the people who want to run the united states, then that's a positive bonus.

2. i'm just a graphic designer from denver.
i have no political ambitions or agendas. i do not work for any of these political candidates. i'm just having a little fun with this.

3. it's about the logos.
this is not about the candidate, the party, the issues, or anything else. just vote for which logo you think is best!! if i suspect ballot-box stuffing i will take measures. vote once per day please.

4. play nice.
if you want to comment, by all means, please do. but i won't tolerate political bickering. this is supposed to be something fun that we ALL can participate in without the stigma of the partisan BS we all hear every day all day. just have fun!!
